COOL HAND LUKE
Luke Milligan (20) held his cool on Saturday at Greencastle Golf Club to win Mr Frankie Houston’s Captains outing with a fabulous 43pts. Twenty points were registered on the front nine and “Big Luke” went on to find the back nine on the Co.Donegal course very much to his liking totting up a further 23pts despite it being his first game on the course. The runner up beaten only on break of tie was Mark Rouse (20) playing in the very last group on the course Mark was very unlucky to take a double bogey 5 at the par three 18th hole which ultimately relegated him to second after a sparkling opening nine which saw him shoot 25pts, third place went to Nicky Patton (5) with a really superb total off his handicap of 42pts, which was one under par for his round and two under for his back nine! ,fourth spot went to John Tinney (27) with 41pts with Peter O’Neill (25) in fifth place with 40pts,the gross prize went to Conal Cooke (0) with 35 gross pts ,with Eoin O’Neill 2nd gross with 32 gross pts, the category prizes all with 39pts went to James Patton (12) ,Marty Corry(17) and Frankie Connolly(23).
